Trans-Canada Highwaymen is headliner for 2024 Kincardine Scottish Festival

The Trans-Canada Highwaymen is the headliner for this year’s Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games, set to run July 5-7 in Victoria Park.

This group consists of members from Sloan, Odds, Barenaked Ladies, and The Pursuit of Happiness.

The line-up also includes ABBAMANIA (below), which rocked the park last year, The Practically Hip, U2 Desire Tribute Band, The Glengarry Bhoys, and British Legends, along with the unique sounds of The Mudmen.



Tickets are now on sale for the event, and in honour of 25 years of the festival, all daytime activities Saturday will be FREE of charge, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"We are thrilled to offer an expanded range of activities as part of our 25th anniversary celebration," said festival president Tony Doherty. "With free admission on Saturday and a family-focused Sunday, we hope to welcome even more guests to our celebration of Scottish culture and community."

Attendees can explore Clan Avenue to learn about their family history or other interesting facts, and peruse a variety of vendor stalls showcasing authentic Scottish goods and wares, in Victoria Park; and enjoy traditional Highland Games competitions, such as the caber toss, stone throw, hammer throw, and other feats of strength, in Robinson Park, without any admission fee during the day.

The festival welcomes back the Clan Parade which will march through downtown Kincardine on Saturday.

The excitement continues into Sunday, which is Family Day. This year, there be a plethora of activities designed for fun-seekers of all ages. Families can look forward to special performances, games, a petting zoo, live knights and other events that are sure to excite.
