​“Beachy Keen” is next print in Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary fund-raiser

“Beachy Keen,” by artist Connie Raye Townsend, is the next print in the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary's Art/Easel Program fund-raiser.

On display at Sobeys Kincardine, this print features two dogs and a cat inside an old-school Volkswagen beetle heading to the beach. Townsend is best known for her playful paintings of dogs and cats riding motorcycles, driving cars, and hanging out in coffee shops.

The second print on display at Sobeys Kincardine, is entitled, “The Northland,” by Group of Seven artist Tom Thomson. This print captures the beauty of birch trees beside a lake, changing colours in the fall. Often Thomson’s paintings were of scenes in Algonquin Park.

The print at the Kincardine hospital is entitled, “Toronto Maple Leafs 100^th Anniversary Replica Ticket Set With Net.”

The print at Rona Kincardine is entitled, “Ice House Coldwell Bay,” by Group of Seven artist Lawren Harris.

The print at Boston Pizza in Kincardine is entitled, “Crosby and Bedard – First NHL Game Collage.”

The starting bid for each print is $200, and they are on display until Tuesday, May 28.
