​South Bruce OPP investigating fatality in Huron-Kinloss Township

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) - One person is dead, following a single-vehicle crash in Huron-Kinloss Township.

June 5, at 9:44 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a vehicle entering Lake Huron from Amberley Road.

Police, along with members of Huron-Kinloss Fire and Emergency Services and Bruce County Emergency Medical Services, removed the driver from the vehicle and attempted lifesaving measures.

The driver, an 88-year-old of Mississauga, was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

 The South Bruce OPP continues to investigate the collision, along with members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team and the Coroner's Office.

Amberley Road was closed at the scene for the protection of emergency responders. It has since been re-opened to traffic.
