​Bruce Power proudly supports community events during Pride Month

Bruce Power joins people across Canada in celebrating diversity, equity and inclusion during Pride Month in June.

Dedicated to commemorating and celebrating the diversity of 2SLGBTQIA-plus communities, Pride Month provides an opportunity for friends and families to work together in recognition of each person’s beauty, talent, resilience, and contribution.

“Bruce Power believes in its people – all people,” said Chris Mudrick, Bruce Power’s chief nuclear officer and executive vice-president, who also serves as chairperson of the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion steering committee.

“We whole-heartedly foster and support a workforce and community that is inclusive, supportive and free of discrimination. Participating in local Pride events allows us the opportunity to openly and proudly show this support to all members of our communities.”


Bruce Power will take part in the following events:

Huron County Pride Festival – June 8

• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Courthouse Square, Goderich

Grey-Bruce Pride – June 15

• 3 p.m. – Parade commences
• 3:30-6 p.m. Street Fair and Vendors Market, 88 8th St. E., Owen Sound

Kincardine Pride Parade – June 22

• 11 a.m. – Parade runs from Sutton Street to Broadway, west to Queen Street, then south to Durham Street, and west to Dunsmoor Park, on the shore of Lake Huron. An afternoon celebration will follow at Dunsmoor Park with a DJ, children’s activities, and a variety of vendors. New this year, is a Kids Zone (entertainment, arts and crafts) near the Kincardine Public Library, on Queen Street.
