South Bruce OPP report suspicious vehicle; domestic violence; and impaired driver

POLICE INVESTIGATING SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE IN CHESLEY

(ARRAN- ELDERSLIE, ON) - Police are urging members of the public to report any peculiar activity they may see after a suspicious vehicle was observed in the Chesley area.

June 14, at 9:50 p.m., the South Bruce OPP launched an investigation after a citizen reported a suspicious vehicle in the area of 4th Avenue Southeast, Chesley, in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

The vehicle is described as a black Dodge extended-cab pick-up truck, with push bars, and lights on the top.

Police are continuing to investigate. Residents are reminded to always be aware of their surroundings and are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to police.

INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO CHARGES

(KINCARDINE, ON) -June 16, the South Bruce OPP responded to an address in Kincardine and initiated an intimate partner violence investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old resident of Mississauga has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
 

• Assault - Spousal
• Assault Cause bodily harm- Spousal
• Fail to comply
• Possession of a Controlled Drug

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victims. IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED IN HURON-KINLOSS

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) - June 15, at 7:17 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a single-vehicle collision along Paradise Lake Street in Huron-Kinloss.

The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol, was placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Breath Technician for breath tests where the individual blew over four times the legal amount of alcohol.

Dakota ADAM, 20, of Cambridge was charged with:
 

• Operation while impaired - blood-alcohol concentration (80-plus)
• Operation while impaired
• Dangerous Operation
