Kincardine Lions and others make donations

The Kincardine Lions, along with other groups, have presented donations in the past few weeks.

The Kincardine and District Lions Club presented its annual $2,000 donation for the Inclusion Program at the Kincardine Summer Playground Program, Friday, June 21.

The Lions have sponsored this program for more than 30 years.

The Scared Hitless senior ladies baseball team has presented a $500 donation to Huron Shores Hospice.

The ladies held a special luncheon in April to raise money for a cause and decided that the hospice was an important place for the donation. The team is always looking for new players so if you’re interested, come down to Connaught Park, Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m., to join in the fun.

Kincardine Tim Hortons raised a total of $15,298.21 through the Smile Cookie Campaign, with funds going toward the Ontario Student Nutrition Program – Grey Bruce which directly impacts Kincardine school nutrition programs. A big thank you to the Kincardine Tim Hortons employees for all their hard work during the campaign.
