Dr. Michael Ballantine is new chief of staff with South Bruce Grey Health Centre

Dr. Michael Ballantine (above) is the new chief of staff with the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, after being appointed by the board of directors in June.

A dedicated doctor with the health centre since 2013, Ballantine has served in a variety of physician leadership positions in the organization, including as former Kincardine site-chief, and most recently as the president of the medical staff.

He is taking over the position from Dr. Lisa Roth, who has been the chief of staff for the past 14 years.

“Dr. Roth is an exceptional leader within our organization, and her contributions to enhancing the quality of care that we provide to our communities, has been significant,” said Nancy Shaw, health centre president and chief executive officer. “We sincerely thank her for her dedication and mentorship.”

“The board of directors has greatly appreciated Dr. Roth’s perspectives and dedication as our chief of staff,” said chairman Jim Bagshaw. “I have enjoyed working closely with Dr. Roth during my time as a director and board chairman over the past few years.”
