Kincardine needs a municipal flag to fly, says reader
To the Editor:
RE: “Kincardine celebrates freedom with raising of Black Liberation flag”
It’s great to temporarily raise flags for various reasons and I’m supportive of doing so; however, the most important community flag to raise, does not exist.
You may ask, what flag recognizes a sense of identity, a sense of community, a sense of belonging, a sense of inclusion and a sense of pride?
The answer is quite simple. It is a municipal flag. Perhaps council can bring our community together during these divisive times by running a contest to design a municipal flag that we can all be proud to fly in Kincardine.
