​No extra personnel needed to enforce parking limit in downtown Kincardine, says reader

RE: “​Council okays three-hour parking limit in downtown Kincardine”

Regarding the proposed three-hour parking limit in downtown Kincardine, I would be in favour of this initiative. However, I’m not in favour of the staff suggestion that additional parking bylaw enforcement personnel is required.

My observation of the current two bylaw enforcement officers is that they are patrolling the parking areas together. It would be more efficient and cost-effective to have these officers work independently of each other and cover more area as is standard practice in cities, instead of hiring more personnel.
