​YMCA Summer Program hosts car wash in Kincardine

Children and staff of the YMCA Summer Program in Kincardine hosted a car wash, Friday afternoon, in the parking lot east of St. Anthony’s School.

The youth, aged four to 12, had a great time, splashing soap on the vehicles and spraying them down. It was a great activity in the hot, hazy, humid, summer weather.

The children were also waving signs at the entrance along Russell Street, directing motorists to the car wash, and selling lemonade and treats.

Program lead Trish James said this is one of the group activities that the YMCA program does each month, as a way to give back to the community.

Donations were accepted, with all the proceeds going toward supplies for September.
