Robert Bradley won $1,001 in the
Catch the Ace draw. He chose Envelope No. 10 which contained the Two of Spades. Next week’s estimated jackpot is expected to reach $10,000, so make sure to get your tickets. One quick reminder is that on-line ticket sales end Tuesday nights at midnight. You can still buy tickets in-person on Wednesdays.
There were two double-dippers at the
Saturday Meat Draw. Winning twice each, were Shannon Allen and Bob Emmerton, and the winner of the 50/50 draw was Mark Bowler who took home $202.50.
September is packed with Legion Events: Trivia on the 6th, Lighthouse Swing Band on the 8th, One Man, 3 Legends on the 13th, and the Branch 183 Fun Golf Tournament on the 29th. Check at the Legion Bar or our Facebook page for more information on how to register for the golf tournament.
The next
Family Dinner will be held Sunday, Sept. 15, at 5 p.m., and we expect to have the menu planned by next week.
A reminder to Legion Members, we are back to
General Branch Meetings now, and this month, it’s on the same day as the Family Dinner, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m., so you can come to the meeting and stay for dinner!
Looking ahead to October, there are still a few tickets available for the Fall Dinner and Dance with music by Midnight Special Express, Oct. 4; and for an Evening with Psychic Kelly Elson, Oct. 12.
As well, tickets are now on sale for the
Legion’s annual Lulu’s Band Hootenanny, Saturday, Nov. 30. Tickets are $40 each, and can be purchased at the Legion Bar. Remember you can follow our Facebook page for the latest updates on Legion events and ticket sales.
