Three vying for Ripley-Huron Fall Fair junior ambassador
Brianna Pointon-Yungblut has been named the new Ripley-Huron Fall Fair senior ambassador, while three young ladies are in the competition for junior ambassador.
The ambassador program will be held Friday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m., in the Ripley-Huron Community Centre auditorium.
BRIANNA POINTON-YUNGBLUT
Brianna is the of daughter of John and Jessica Yungblut and is in Grade 12 at Kincardine District Senior. She has been figure skating for 13 years with the Ripley-Huron Skating Club and coaching the Canskate program for two years. She enjoys reading and spending time at the beach.
Last year, she spent three months in France as part of an exchange program. She hopes to one day travel to Italy after learning Italian. Brianna is a hostess at the FIG Studio Kitchen in Ripley which is her sponsor.

AUDREY KERNIGHAN
Audrey is the eldest daughter of Tyler and Rachel Kernighan, and is in Grade 8 at Ripley-Huron Community School. She likes babysitting for friends and family, and helping out on neighbouring farms. She also enjoys helping her great-grandma in her garden and helping her granny serve luncheons at the Kingsbridge Centre.
She has been part of the Kincardine Kippers swim team for eight years and loves competing. She also enjoys horseback-riding, reading, running with her mom, and spending time with her friends. Audrey is sponsored by Everlastings Flowers and Gifts.
MARIA MORAIS
Maria is the daughter of Crystal and Anibal Morais, and is in Grade 7 at Ripley-Huron Community School. She enjoys babysitting and taking part in the Ripley and District Horticultural Society’s “For Our Youth” Club where she learns a lot about plants and nature.
She also volunteers with her school’s Green Team, helping to better the school and community environment. After high school, she is interested in attending post-secondary school to purse something in the field of law. Maria is sponsored by Willow and Ren.
EVANY NEITZEL
Evany is the daughter of Joe and Brooke Neitzel, and is in Grade 9 at Kincardine District Senior School. This past summer, she worked at the Ripley Veterinary Clinic. She is also a program assistant with the Ripley-Huron Skating Club in the Canskate program.
She enjoys playing volleyball and paddle-boarding. After high school, she would like to travel to Europe, across Canada, and more. Evany is sponsored by Thompson Farms.
