​Kincardine Santa Claus Parade set for Nov. 30, beginning at Connaught Park

Plans for the 2024 Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce Santa Claus Parade are in full swing!

The chamber held a “Name the Parade” contest in October, and the winning theme, “Home for the Holidays”, was submitted by Morgan Swift. Morgan was awarded a gift certificate from Godfather Pizza for her winning submission.

The parade is open to all businesses and organizations at no charge. Participants can design a float, drive decorated vehicles, or walk with their friends.

“The chamber of commerce welcomes everyone home for the holidays,” said Tara Byle, board member and parade co-ordinator. “Bring your loved ones to our cherished Santa Claus Parade, Nov. 30, at 4 p.m. to celebrate the season! Thank you for all your support of all our chamber businesses; we couldn't do it without you!”

This year’s parade will follow the same route as last year. Floats will assemble at Connaught Park and begin their journey from Broadway to Queen Street, then south on Queen Street to Victoria Park. Residents are invited to gather safely along the side of the road to watch the floats go by.

Businesses, schools and organizations wishing to participate by entering a float in the parade are still welcome to do so. A registration form is available by sending an E-mail message to director@kincardinechamber.com.

Chamber executive director Tammy Schneider said the 2023 parade welcomed 70-plus floats, and the committee is hoping for an even bigger turn-out this year.
