Battlers donate $10,400 to hospital foundation from attendance at Golf Sands open house

Linda and Keith Battler of Kincardine have donated $10,400 to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, for the Kincardine Hospital Redevelopment campaign, proceeds from a successful open house at the new Golf Sands housing development in Kincardine.

A ribbon-cutting was held Friday, Nov. 1, for the development which is located off Golf Links Road in the Town of Kincardine. On hand, were members of Kincardine council and the Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce.

Keith Battler of the Lindston Group, Inc., offered a home tour of the new subdivision which features 33 residential units, including single-family homes, townhomes, and semi-detached homes on the grounds of the Kincardine Golf and Country Club.

“As the Municipality of Kincardine and Bruce Power continue to attract more investments and jobs, it’s important that we have an adequate supply and variety of housing options to meet growing demand,” said mayor Kenneth Craig. “We thank Keith and Linda Battler, as well as the Lindston Group, for their continued investment in our community.”

An open house event at 60 Mercedes Crescent was held Sunday, Nov. 3, and for every attendee over the age of 21, the Battlers agreed to donate $100 to the hospital project. The successful event welcomed more than 100 people, resulting in the $10,400 donation.

“We are thrilled with all the action and building in our new development,” said Keith Battler. “We’d like to extend a big thank you to the municipality’s development services team for the help in guiding us through this project.”
