Sanatan Centre raises more than $5,000 for Kincardine Hospital capital campaign
The Swajan Samanvay Sanatan Centre hosted its first charity dinner, Monday night, at the Kincardine Pavilion, transforming the evening into a celebration of unity and generosity rooted in the timeless principle of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" — the world is one family.

About 120 people gathered in the spirit of Diwali, with Hindu volunteer families preparing a delicious meal that fostered connection and joy.

The event raised more than $5,000 for the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, contributing to its $18-million capital campaign for vital hospital upgrades, including a new MRI and emergency department.

Graham Mahood of the foundation expressed gratitude to the Hindu community for its support, and emphasized the significance of both connection and fund-raising for the health-care initiative.

Chandra Tripathi, one of the organizers of the event, thanked all attendees and volunteers, highlighting the spirit of Diwali: selfless service, unity, and shared light. This meaningful gathering not only instilled pride among Hindu volunteers but also strengthened cultural ties, reflecting a shared commitment to uplifting and supporting the community.
