​Ripley Agricultural Society pledges $15,000 to Kincardine Hospital redevelopment

The Ripley Agricultural Society has pledged $15,000 toward the redevelopment of the Kincardine Hospital.

Tracy Robinson of the agricultural society recently presented the first payment to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation. The society has pledged $3,000 each year for the next five years toward the hospital capital campaign.

It is also challenging other groups to consider this type of donation, and thanks everyone who enjoys the annual Ripley-Huron Fall Fair and strong communities.

The capital campaign, “Building Health Care for Generations,” will support the modernization and expansion of the hospital’s emergency department, diagnostic-imaging department, the laboratory, and the decontamination room, while including a new MRI program in Kincardine.

This modernization and expansion of services will ensure that the Kincardine Hospital will be able to meet the medical needs of the growing community by providing access to high-quality health care efficiently, timely, and close to home.

The community's fund-raising goal is $18-million.
