​Kincardine Food Bank scores big in Battle of the Badges charity hockey game

The firefighters put the cops’ feet to the fire as Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services defeated the South Bruce OPP in the Battle of the Badges, to bring home the Brass Nozzle, in the charity hockey game, Monday, Dec. 23, at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.

Firefighter Mike Husk coached his team to the win, while staff-sergeant Deb McClure and constable Matt Thorpe pushed their players to greater heights.

It was all in good fun and for a good cause, as the event raised nearly $500 and piles of non-perishable food for the Kincardine Food Bank.
