South Bruce OPP report assault; and theft
ARRESTS MADE AFTER ASSAULT
(KINCARDINE, ON) - Jan. 5, at 10:34 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of an assault at an address along Upper Lorne Beach Road in the Municipality of Kincardine.
Investigation revealed that two individuals were engaged in a physical confrontation resulting in minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, two individuals were arrested and face charges.
Christopher BENOIT, 39, of Sarnia, has been charged with Assault with a weapon, CC 267(a).
The accused is set to appear in the Walkerton Court of Justice, Feb. 12, to answer to the charge.
Kerry ROBINSON, 34, of the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex, has been charged with Assault causing bodily harm, CC 267(b).
The accused is set to appear in the Walkerton Court of Justice, Feb. 19, to answer to the charge.

POLICE INVESTIGATE THEFT FROM RURAL PROPERTY
(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) - Jan. 3, the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft at an address along Sideroad 15 Arran, Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.
Investigation revealed that at approximately 6:30 p.m., two unknown individuals entered a trailer on the property and stole two cans of gasoline, a leaf blower and a sump pump. The individuals were operating a silver SUV with affixed plates of DDXP297, which do not belong to the vehicle.


Police encourage members of the public to report suspicious behaviour. Consider installing security cameras, additional lighting and/or alarms. If you already have security cameras, consider registering with the CAMSafe program at
