Ripley volleyball teams win regional championships

The Ripley Ravens girls and boys volleyball teams brought home championship banners from the South
West Regional tournament held Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Davidson Centre, Kincardine.

The Ripley girls’ accurate passing and setting led the way to winning the championship two games straight against Huron Heights, 25-12 and 25-9. Ripley moves on to the Bluewater finals next week in Sauble Beach!

Meanwhile, the Ripley boys advanced to the finals where they faced Huron Heights. They were trailing in the first game, 20-12, before going on to win 25-20. The second game was a nail-biter that ended with a 25-23 victory. Ripley now moves on to the District tournament Jan. 22!
