Incredible talent is being showcased at the arenas in Kincardine, Tiverton and Ripley this week, during the 29th annual Kincardine Regional Silver Stick tournament.
The event began Sunday and runs through to Wednesday. So far, the Kincardine Bantams have a tie and a loss, while the Peewees have two wins and a tie, and the Ripley Novices have two wins and a loss. The Kincardine Peewee Selects have two losses, as do the Novices and the Ripley Peewees.
The opening ceremonies were held Sunday night at the Davidson Centre, with the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band leading the dignitaries to the ice. Joining tournament director Ray Luinstra, were Kincardine councillor Laura Haight, and the Penetangore Youth Chorale which sang "O Canada."

The Kincardine Bantams then took on Saugeen Shores but suffered a 4-2 loss.
The Kincardine Peewee game against Tavistock, Monday night, was a barn-burner. The Kinucks were up 2-0 at the end of the second period, but Tavistock tied the game in the third. Then, with just seconds remaining, Kayne Lee of Kincardine potted a goal to give the Kinucks a 3-2 win.
Tournament play continues Tuesday, with the finals at the Davidson Centre, Wednesday.
