Russell Brubacher of Point Clark dies at the age of 95
Russell Glen Brubacher of Point Clark, died peacefully, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, April 14, 2025 at the age of 95.
Beloved husband of the late Barbara (nee Dickson).
Loving stepfather of Mac and Marie Pittman of Calgary, and Greg and Bettie Pittman of Ripley.
Proud papa of Michael (Sandy) and Tamara (Dennis) Wagner of Calgary, Michael Pennings of Brantford, and Colleen Pittman (Terry) of New Brunswick.
Great-grandpapa of Sara, Ryan, and Justin (Casandra); and great-great-grandpapa of Byron.
Fondly remembered by a large and extended family of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.
Predeceased by his parents, Wilbur and Emma Brubacher; great-grandson, Glenn McTavish in 2018; brothers, Lorne (Vivyan) and Howard (Theresa); and sisters, Evelyn (Eddy) Mansz, and Ethel, in infancy.
Russell was an electrician during his early life. He then began his career in law enforcement, rising through the ranks to sergeant in the Kitchener Police Department. He shared his knowledge with new recruits teaching law enforcement at Seneca College from 1965 until his retirement at the age of 65.
Cremation has taken place.
A private graveside committal service will be held at the Lurgan Cemetery, with Rev. Rob Hiscox officiating. Arrangements entrusted to the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley.
