Bruce Power, Bruce County Museum mark Earth Week with eco-themed program for students
Bruce Power has partnered, once again, with the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre to offer a virtual Earth Week program for students.
This year’s Earth Week theme is “Our Power, Our Planet,” and the museum is offering video presentations by guest experts at the
Lake Huron Coastal Centre,
Nuclear Innovation Institute, and
Grey Sauble Conservation.
Each video is accompanied by a challenge/activity that students and families can try in the classroom or at home. This year, a Jeopardy-style digital game is also available to test your energy knowledge.
“Bruce Power is proud to partner with the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre to offer presentations and an opportunity for students to learn about energy, renewable and non-renewable sources of energy, their effects on the climate, and sustainable practices,” said Danielle LaCroix, senior director, environment, sustainability and Net-Zero.
Earth Week 2025 connects to the Conservation of Energy and Resources strand of Ontario’s Grade 5 Science and Technology curriculum.
“Earth Week is all about the importance of protecting our planet and sharing how everyone can take action,” said Lauren Beer, education and outreach co-ordinator at the museum. “We're proud to offer fun, educational programming that helps students connect with the environment and learn about conserving energy and resources.”
