Kincardine Community Singers presenting “Songwriters’ Circle II”

The Kincardine Community Singers are paying tribute to the women of song, with their spring concert,”Songwriters’ Circle II,” slated for June 7-8, at Knox Presbyterian Church, Kincardine.

The 70-member choir, under the direction of Patt Lowry and accompanied by Liz Coates and Brenda Manderson, is featuring the music of Loretta Lynn, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Dolly Parton, Rita MacNeil, Carly Simon, Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, and more.

The concert includes a number of ensembles, a barbershop septet, soloists and even the men with a tremendous rendition of “All About That Bass” – no tenors!

Joining the singers, are musicians Steve Deer, Karen Weber, Mike Smith, Brian Tovey, Steve Hasbury, Diane Wall, and Chris Lazarenko.

The concert runs Saturday, June 7, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, June 8, at 3 p.m.
