​South Bruce OPP report dispute results in charges; and drug-trafficking charges

SEVERAL CHARGES LAID AFTER DISPUTE

(MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH BRUCE, ON) - June 1, at 11:58 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a dispute at a property along Concession 4, Municipality of South Bruce.

Police attended and learned that the accused had been operating a motor vehicle in contravention of prior conditions of release. The individual was placed under arrest and transported to the detachment.

Francis REINHART, 33, of the Municipality of South Bruce, was charged with:
 

• Operation while prohibited, CC 320.18(1)(a) - three counts
• Fail to comply with probation, CC 733.1(1)
• Driving while under suspension, HTA 53(1) - four counts
• Use plate not authorized for vehicle, HTA 12(1)(d)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.

THREE CHARGED WITH DRUG-TRAFFICKING

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) - June 6, at approximately 1:45 a.m., the South Bruce OPP responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Goldie Street, Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

Police attended and located the vehicle along Bruce County Road 1, outside of Paisley. The investigating officer observed suspected illicit drugs in plain view. Three occupants were taken into custody and searched, leading to the seizure of approximately 10 grams of suspected cocaine, five grams of suspected crack, 16 grams of suspected fentanyl, and various paraphernalia associated with drug consumption and trafficking.

Wayne BRIDEAU, 44, of New Brunswick, was charged with Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, CDSA 5(2).

Jessica WILSON, 40, of Hanover, was charged with Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, CDSA 5(2).

A 16-year-old resident of Hanover, was charged with:
 

• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, CDSA 5(2) - two counts
• Fail to comply with undertaking, CC 145(4)(a)
