Bruce Power supports 2025 IPM as platinum sponsor
Bruce Power is, once again, participating in the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) as a platinum sponsor for the event, taking place Sept. 16-20 in the Niagara Region.
The company helped kick off the
event in West Lincoln by participating in the Bruce Power opening parade and ceremonies.
“Agriculture and the production of energy and medical isotopes are industries that go hand-in-hand in the Clean Energy Frontier region of Bruce, Grey and Huron Counties and we’re happy to support the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo in highlighting rural life through this great event,” said Pat Dalzell, Bruce Power’s vice-president of corporate affairs and market development.
The IPM is a five-day celebration of agriculture and rural living. There are plowing competitions, a range of activities for people of all ages, numerous opportunities to learn about agriculture, live entertainment in multiple venues, and hundreds of vendors and exhibitors.
The 106-year-old event is a collaborative effort of the Ontario Plowmen’s Association and a local committee, with the profits generated being donated to groups and organizations in the host communities. The event is held in a different rural community every year and attracts thousands of visitors from across Ontario, Canada and the United States. The 2026 IPM will be hosted in Bruce County, near Walkerton.
