Kincardine Bulldogs suffer two losses in opening games of PJHL season
The Kincardine Bulldogs suffered two losses, to Wingham and Hanover, in the opening games of their Provincial Junior Hockey League season, on the weekend.
The Bulldogs’ season home-opener was Saturday night at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine, as the Wingham Ironmen came knocking and took home a 6-1 win.
Zasha Ortman had the lone goal for the ‘Dogs.
Kincardine goalie Blake Beitz made 30 saves on 36 shots.
Sunday afternoon, the Hanover Barons came calling and shut out the Bulldogs, 7-0.
‘Dogs goalie Beitz made 22 saves on 29 shots.
The Bulldogs hope to put some wins on the board as they take on the Walkerton Capitals, Friday, Sept. 19, at 8:30 p.m., at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.
Next weekend, the ‘Dogs are home to Fergus, Friday, Sept. 26, at 8:30 p.m., and travel to Mitchell, Sunday, Sept. 28, for a 4:30 p.m. game.
