Jennifer Virtue won $1,415 in this week’s
Catch the Ace draw. She chose Envelope No. 24 which contained the Six of Clubs. The Ace of Spades remains hidden and we get to grow the jackpot. With your help and ticket purchases, we estimate next week’s jackpot will reach $24,000. So don’t delay, pick up your tickets today!
At the
Saturday Meat Draw, we once again had double triple-dippers. Congratulations to Scott Allen and Heather Roppel who each won three prizes! The winner of the 50/50 draw was Steve Musselman who took home $67.50. Congratulations, Steve!
Thursday, Oct. 16, is our annual Envelope Stuffing Day. If you would like to help us stuff poppies in envelopes, join us and help prepare for the 2025 Poppy Campaign. Coffee and muffins will be available at 9 a.m. and lunch will be served. Thank you, in advance, and feel free to bring a friend!
As a reminder, our
Ceremonies of Remembrance will be held Sunday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. at Tiverton Lions Memorial Park, and Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m. in the Kincardine Legion Hall, followed by the wreath-laying ceremony at the cenotaph. If any local businesses or individuals wish to purchase and place a wreath of Remembrance at one, or both of these ceremonies, we are offering wreaths at $65 each. All wreaths will be labelled and announced by our MC as they are presented. Reach out to our Poppy Chairperson, Sandra Benbow, at sbenbow183@outlook.com to ask for our easy order form, and instructions on how to E-transfer if you are interested.
We continue to have
food available before Bingo on Thursdays, and next week, Oct. 16, we will have chili on the menu for $6. Remember, you don’t have to be playing Bingo to come enjoy the food, you can just come for dinner.
A big thank you to Todd Thompson for hosting the
