Our sympathy is sent to Joyce Courtney and her family on the death of her husband, Elmer. An indication of the high esteem in which they are held, was the packed church and overflow crowd at the funeral on Sunday. Not much phases a rural community – when the hydro went off during the funeral everyone just carried on.

Gabrielle and Benjamin Smith of Wellesley visited on the weekend with her parents, Heather and Sam Finnie. Heather and Sam are hosting the card party for January, next Friday evening, at 7 p m.

Cheryl Bridge visited with her sisters, Diana Ellis and Wendy Hoosima, recently.

In the last while, Marilyn and Don Reid entertained Arla and John Dahmer, Lois and Stephen Durnin, and June and Bob Gilchrist.

Now that winter has returned with a vengeance, please drive carefully.
