South Bruce OPP report two break-ins; driver charged after truck snaps off hydro pole

POLICE INVESTIGATING BREAK-IN
 

(BRUCE TWP, ON) –  Jan. 14, at 4:29 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a break, enter and theft at a seasonal property along Jordan Road in Bruce Township. 

Sometime between 3 p.m. Jan. 6, and 4 p.m. Jan. 14, outbuildings on the property were forcibly entered. The list of missing items includes:
 

  • Blue 3500-watt Yamaha Inverter Generator

  • Blue 2500-watt Yamaha Inverter Generator

  • Yellow Perception Sabre kayak

  • Blue/white Perception Pirouette kayak

  • Orange/white Stihl MS260 chain saw

  • Orange/white Stihl MS170 chain saw

  • Four deep-cycle gel batteries

  • Assortment of hand-held tools


There is no estimate on the value of the stolen property available at this time. 
 

DRIVER CHARGED AFTER TRUCK COLLIDES WITH HYDRO POLE
 

(KINCARDINE, ON) – Jan. 14, at 11:31 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a pick-up truck hitting a hydro pole along Durham Street in Kincardine. 

Officers attended with Kincardine firefighters and Bruce County paramedics to find that a black Chevrolet Silverado had struck a hydro pole near the Davidson Centre on Durham Street, Kincardine. The broken pole was on the ground and hydro lines were resting on the truck. The driver, a 63-year-old Kincardine man, was charged with careless driving. He was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
 

FIREARMS TAKEN DURING BREAK-IN
 

(LUCKNOW, ON) – Jan. 13, at 12:57 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a break-in at a residence in the 400 block of Inglis Street in Lucknow. 

Sometime between 6 a.m. Jan. 12, and 6 a.m. Jan. 13, the residence was forcibly entered. The list of missing items includes:
 

  • Three Savage long guns
  • Two Weatherby long guns
  • Two Remington long guns
  • One Norinco NP58 hand gun
  • A collection of Cold Steel knives
  • A 46-inch Panasonic TV
  • A Samsung Galaxy tablet


There is no estimate on the value of the stolen property at this time.
