Huron County OPP report ongoing investigating; and thief nabbed
ONGOING INVESTIGATION IN ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH TWP, ON) - The Huron County OPP Crime Unit is investigating an incident that occurred in the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, Jan. 18.

Investigators are seeking the public's assistance regarding an incident involving a black pick-up truck that was, reportedly, disabled or broken down on the side of the road in the area of Zion Road and Bluewater Veterans Highway, in the township.

Police are requesting help to identify the vehicle and two individuals who were with the truck. If you have any video surveillance available or dash-cam footage in the area of the incident on the date noted above, contact the OPP - Incident No. RM26020715.

PERSON CHARGED AFTER CAUGHT WITH STOLEN PROPERTY

(GODERICH, ON) - The Huron County OPP has charged a North Huron resident with several criminal offences, following a report of a dispute in the Town of Goderich.

Monday, Jan. 26, police responded to a dispute on South Street in Goderich. Officers attended the location and spoke to an individual who was subsequently arrested. A search of the accused revealed stolen property.

Michael DALE, 35, of North Huron has been charged with:
 
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Theft of Credit Card
  • Possession of Identity Document - (five counts)
  • Breach of Recognizance
  • Causing a Disturbance

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing and later released from custody with a future court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.

    Wow..! Yet ANOTHER retrograde, useless press release from the OPP. The first press release is so ambiguous that one wonders if it was even worth it to release. "An incident on a road...involving a black pickup truck..." almost two months ago. Looking to identify "two individuals" who were in the black truck. Boy...that doesn't describe too many people..!! Good luck with that one OPP. Does anyone in the OPP review or check these ridiculous press releases before they go to the news...? Time for some more effective supervision in the chaotic OPP...
