The Ripley, Lucknow, Kincardine and Tiverton Agricultural Societies sent directors and ambassadors to the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies Convention last week in Toronto. It is always a great time of attending workshops, meeting entertainment companies and networking with fellow agricultural societies to enhance their fairs and the other events hosted during the year. Thank you so much for representing your society and our communities.
4-H clubs are getting under way soon. Be sure to check in with your leaders about start dates for meetings.
After watching the Winter Olympics for two-and-a-half weeks, it's time to catch up on other news.
Thank you to all the churches that hosted Pancake Suppers last Tuesday. It's always a great time to socialize and come out of hibernation!
We're sure thinking of the people in Newfoundland who have received an excessive amount of snow these past few days. Safe driving and travelling, everyone!

Congratulations to all the participants at the Royal Canadian Legion speaking competitions held over the past two weekends.
The next meeting of the Purple Grove Women's Institute is Wednesday, March 4, and we welcome everyone to join us. The meeting will be held in the social room at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Guest speaker is Ripley Library supervisor Michelle Posthumus. She has a wealth of information to share about the resources available now through the library system. The Roll Call is “What book are you currently reading?”
