Impaired driver arrested after traffic stop in Goderich
(GODERICH, ON) - March 3, just after 10:20 p.m., Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Bayfield in Goderich.
The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation.
The accused provided breath samples before a qualified OPP Intoxilizer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.
Tyler EDGINTON, 30, of Bluewater has been charged with:
- Impaired Operation - Over-80
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused's driver's licence was suspended for a period of 90 days.
The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich, April 20.
