​Walker House, Kincardine, hosting World Fiddle Day, May 16

Everyone is welcome to World Fiddle Day, Saturday, May 16, from 2-6 p.m., at the Walker House Museum in Kincardine.

First launched in Donegal in 2012, World Fiddle Day has grown into an international celebration of the fiddle and its role across many cultures and musical traditions.

Here in Kincardine, the World Fiddle Day Players will be hosting an open fiddle session at the historic Walker House.

The first organized event took place in 2015 on Harbour Street, right outside the museum, featuring more than 20 musicians, dance groups, and a wonderful crowd gathered by the lakeshore.
