The Bruce County Public Library encourages residents to help shape the future of library services across the county through the development of a new Strategic Plan and Library Master Plan.
The Strategic Plan will guide the direction of the library over the next four years, helping define priorities, services and goals for the library board and staff. Alongside this work, it will look ahead over the next 20 years to assess library space across the county, identify how branches might best serve the communities, and explore the type of library services residents need in the future.
Whether residents are regular or occasional users, the library wants to hear from the community about service use and what people believe has the most value. As part of the process, residents can complete the community feedback form, available on-line at www.surveymonkey.com/r/FeedbackBCPL until June 7. This survey takes approximately seven to 10 minutes to complete. If you are unable to complete the survey on-line, paper copies are available at all 17 library branches.
Community members can also attend one of several in-branch open houses to share feedback directly with the project team. The Kincardine Library event is Wednesday, May 20, from 5-7 p.m.
Residents may also submit written comments by E-mail at libraryinfo@brucecounty.on.ca.
The project timeline includes research and consultation throughout the spring of 2026, development of the plan during the summer of 2026, and final presentation in the fall of 2026.
