Hundreds of people gathered on the arena floor at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine, Tuesday night (May 12), for the 21st annual Multicultural Celebration.
Organizer Chandra Tripathi welcomed everyone and said he was thrilled at the turn-out for this important event.
Members of the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band marched into the Davidson Centre, followed by Tripathi and several dignitaries, representing the sponsors, Bruce Power, Municipality of Kincardine and the Swajan Samanvay Sanatan Centre (SSSC).
The Multicultural Celebration is for all ages, featuring cultural displays from almost 20 countries, as well as traditional outfits, music and ethnic foods, all in a fun, free, family-friendly, festive environment, where you can experience the richness of the cultures that make the Kincardine area so special.
Among the countries featured, were Canada, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Brazil, China, Italy, India and Pakistan.
Also on hand, were a number of local groups and supporting organizations, including the Kinetic Knights Robotics Team (FRC Team 781), Bruce Power, Municipality of Kincardine, Kincardine Library, Grey-Bruce Newcomer Immigrant Collective, and Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services.
