The Bruce Telecom property, located at 3145 Highway 21, north of Tiverton, is up for sale for $6-million.
General manager Stephanie Brunato said the building and land were listed May 13, but the business is not for sale.
"Since March, 2020, the majority of Bruce Telecom employees have been working predominantly out of several remote local offices, including customer service centres in Kincardine and Port Elgin," she said. "Bruce Telecom continues to operate all these locations, facilitating a work environment that reduces commute times, prioritizes local presence and is responsive to employee as well as customer needs."
She said the sale of the Highway 21 property is an administrative decision that is continuing an approach to staff deployment, implemented in 2020.
"Bruce Telecom customers can expect the same high-level quality of service experienced to date, with no impact on current employment levels or customer care," said Brunato. "The majority of our employees, including the installation/repair team, have been working predominantly out of several other local offices, and will continue to do so."
Windsor Private Capital purchased Bruce Telecom in March, 2024, for more than $32-million. The business provides the communities of Kincardine, Tiverton, Paisley, Port Elgin, Southampton, Chesley and Owen Sound, and the surrounding region, with a full range of home and business telecommunications support, including home phone, Internet, TV and mobile services.
The real estate listing states the property includes a commercial facility on 19.365 acres of land, zoned agricultural, commercial, and industrial. There are two parcels, sold together as one - the second parcel includes a driving shed. The five-bay garage wing delivers drive-through access for commercial vehicles, caged equipment storage, and a storage loft above.
