Bruce Power is celebrating Pride Month by partnering with local organizations across Bruce, Grey and Huron counties to support 2SLGBTQIA-plus communities, bringing people together to foster inclusion, connection and a strong sense of belonging.
Throughout June, the company is supporting Pride events across the region, helping create welcoming spaces where all people can show up as their authentic selves.
“Pride Month is an important opportunity to celebrate what makes our communities stronger and show our commitment to inclusion in the communities where we live and work,” said Karen Smith, chief human resources officer and senior vice-president at Bruce Power. “It’s about recognizing and valuing the differences that shape who we are and fostering a sense of belonging we build together. We’re proud to support local Pride events and stand alongside our community partners to create spaces where all people feel welcomed, respected and supported for who they are.”
This year, Bruce Power is supporting several events across the region, including:
Kincardine Pride Parade - June 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Victoria Park, Kincardine
Huron County Pride Festival – June 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Lions Harbour Park, Goderich
Owen Sound Pride Parade and Block Party - June 13, beginning at 3 p.m., Downtown River District, Owen Sound
These events bring together residents, families and local organizations to celebrate inclusion, helping strengthen the communities where Bruce Power employees live and work.
Supporting Pride Month is part of Bruce Power’s ongoing commitment to advancing equity and inclusion, both on-site and in the surrounding communities.
