Dewars win house-decorating contest in celebration of Canada Day

Ted and Janice Dewar and their crew of Point Clark have won the house-decorating contest in celebration of Canada Day.

Organized by the Point Clark Beach Association, the judging was done by Shirley Fiebiger and Robert Foster who noted that they were impressed with the work that everyone put into the displays.

The Dewars said their grandchildren came up with some great ideas and did an amazing job of decorating the house.

Foster said there were 10 people who submitted their houses for the Celebrating Canada Contest. The judges narrowed that down to the top three who won prizes.

Ted and Janice Dewar, 316 Hunt Club, won a beautiful birdhouse designed and created by the Birdman (Roy Douglas).

Second place went to Barb Pletch, 285 Huron Road, a $25 gift certificate for the Country Depot in Kincardine.

Third place went to Melissa Reynolds, 116 Sunrise Street, a $25 gift certificate for Smeltzers Garden Centre.
