Kincardine U14 girls soccer team suffers hard-fought loss

The Kincardine U14 girls soccer team put in one of its strongest performances of the season on home turf Monday evening, battling the league’s third-place team in a hard-fought 4-2 loss.

Despite the final score, the match showcased just how much this young squad has grown. The girls went toe-to-toe with one of the league’s top teams, displaying excellent passing, strong communication, and confident play from start to finish.

Goals from Isla Vinandy and Claire Ferguson kept Kincardine within striking distance throughout the match, while goalkeeper Cadence Loder delivered an outstanding performance between the posts. Loder came up with several key saves to keep her team in the game and gave her teammates every opportunity to battle back.

The entire team should be proud of its effort. Every player contributed with determination, teamwork, and a willingness to compete for every ball. The girls' hard work at training is clearly paying off, and the confidence they are building is beginning to show on the field.

While the result didn’t go its way, this performance was another important step forward for a team that is truly finding its groove. If the girls continue to play with this level of effort and commitment, there are exciting things ahead for this group.
