Tim Hortons Camp Day raises almost $1,700 in Kincardine

Tim Hortons Camp Day has raised almost $1,700 in Kincardine, to help send children to camp.

Despite the smoky, hazy day, Wednesday (July 15), staff and volunteers at the store, located just off Highway 21, held games and activities, including throwing pies in the faces of several staff members, to help raise a total of $1,682.83 for the cause. The Kincardine Lions Club also presented a $500 donation at the event.

Camp Day is Tim Hortons' annual summer fund-raiser, with 100-per-cent of proceeds from all hot and iced coffee sales going to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. This charity empowers youth from under-served communities by providing multi-year, camp-based leadership programs.

Nationally, the one-day charity event raised $12.7-million for Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
