Bruce Power invites the public to participate in a virtual live-stream, Aug. 4, at 7 p.m., to learn more about the Bruce "C" project.
The company believes meaningful dialogue is an important part of planning for Ontario’s energy future, and this virtual community information session, hosted by James Scongack, chief operating officer and executive vice-president, is an opportunity for the public to learn more about future nuclear generation opportunities at the Bruce site through this project.
The live-stream will provide an update on what Bruce Power has heard through the Impact Statement phase of the Impact Assessment process for the project, along with key milestones.
“The Bruce 'C' project represents an important opportunity to support Ontario’s long-term energy needs,” said Scongack. “We are committed to keeping communities informed as the project progresses, and welcome the opportunity to discuss the latest developments during the live-stream.”
Through all phases of the Impact Assessment, Bruce Power is committed to listening to residents, sharing information, and creating opportunities for discussion. The feedback received, to date, demonstrates strong community confidence in the potential benefits of Bruce "C," with nine-out-of-10 residents across the region indicating they believe the project would be good for the community.
“Ongoing engagement with local communities remains a key part of this project,” said Scongack. “These conversations help us share project updates, listen to perspectives and ensure community voices are part of the discussion.”
Bruce Power looks forward to providing a company update, hearing from community members, and answering questions during this virtual live-stream.
