A good crowd gathered in Victoria Park, Kincardine, for the annual Hindu Culture Open House, Saturday afternoon, Aug. 15.
It was a beautiful, sunny, warm day as Chandra Tripathi of Kincardine welcomed everyone to the event which is an opportunity to celebrate the Hindu Culture and its belief in the joy of all people living together as one.
The festivities began with a parade around the park, with the flags of Canada and India held high. The lighting of the lamp ceremony was performed, followed by prayer and patriotic songs, singing, dancing, yoga, meditation, Henna art and Indian food.
