Kincardine needs to beautify north side of harbour

To the Editor:

The south side boardwalk and flower gardens are beautiful. Now let's do some work on the north side of the harbour.

From the flagpole to the pavilion, the wooden boardwalk is in need of replacement.
Lovers Lane needs to be upgraded.
Where do you walk on Saugeen Street to Kingsway?

Well, here is an idea for your readers. The entire length should be replaced with an eight-foot-wide asphalt multi-use trail.

When the trail exits Lovers Lane, it can remain on the west side (lakeside) of Saugeen Street, ending at the beach entrance or Shevchenko Boulevard at Kingsway. Saugeen Street could be changed to a one-way street southbound, from Kingsway and Shevchenko Boulevard to Saugeen Street and Broadway.

This would provide space for a trail on the existing road surface.

There is a public walkway on the east side going through but it has been ignored for years.

Some ideas for thought.
