Knox Presbyterian Church, Kincardine, has donated $5,000 to the Kincardine Hospital expansion and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine project.
The donation was made Thursday afternoon at the hospital, with Wade Gibson, clerk of session at the church, presenting the cheque to Margaret Visser of the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation.

Other groups have also been making donations, as the foundation inches toward the final $2.5-million toward its $18-million goal for the project.
The winners of the Grandma's Golf Tournament - Shelley Gauthier, Cathy Alcombrack, Trudy Catto and Cindy Schmidt - topped up their winnings and donated $1,025 it to the hospital redevelopment project. Thanks to the tournament organizers and other players who put funds toward the donation.

And the foundation acknowledges Kincardine councillor Rory Cavanagh on his acclamation as deputy mayor on the next council. Given that he was acclaimed to office and with no need to allocate funds for campaigning, Cavanagh, and his wife, Dr. Angela Cavanagh, donated $5,000 toward the redevelopment project. Thanks to the Cavanaghs and their family for this generous contribution and for their commitment to the well-being of Kincardine and the local hospital.
