Shirley Joanne Thompson (nee Morris) of Glammis died peacefully, at Kincardine Hospital Sept. 17, 2026, at the age of 92.
Beloved mother of Colleen, Cheryl, Barbara (Scott) and John (Catharine).
Cherished by her grandchildren, who were the loves of her life, Sam (Linzi), Tom (Nicole), Martin, Rob, Matt (Meg), Liz (Ryan), Laura (Max), Ben (Pam), Sean (Bela), Cate (James) and Peter.
Lovingly remembered by great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Heath, Madison, Ophelia, Theodore and Kylie.
Also survived and remembered by Bob and Linda McCulloch and George Ryan; and her sisters-in-law, Eleanor Thompson and Shirley Bourgeois (Bob).
Shirley will be remembered as Mom, Granny and Auntie by many family members and friends she has known over the years.
Predeceased by her husband, Howard Thompson; her parents, Cottrill and Anelia Morris; her parents-in-law, Murdock and Gladys Thompson; and many relatives.
The family thanks the staff at the Kincardine Hospital, and the doctors and nurses for their compassion and kindness. She is at peace.
Shirley celebrated her 90th birthday at the Kincardine Pavilion with a come-and-go tea where she joyfully greeted every guest, friend and family member. She said it was the best day of her life and it fulfilled her wish that the party be her living wake.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family service.
