Driver charged after incident at parade in Lucknow

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) - A resident of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged after an incident at a parade in Lucknow.

South Bruce OPP officers responded to a call involving a vehicle driving down a closed roadway onto a parade route, Sept. 19. The vehicle had driven around road-closure barricades, but thanks to several bystanders, the driver was stopped until officers arrived.

Once police arrived, the driver was placed under arrest. There were no injuries reported from the incident.

William HOLCAK, 65, Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with dangerous operation.

The accused was released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Walkerton, Dec. 9.
