Kincardine paid almost $300,000 in remuneration to council, boards
For the second year in a row, Kincardine ratepayers shelled out almost $300,000 in remuneration to their council, local boards and the Bruce Telecom board.

 

The amount paid to council members in 2015 increased by about $10,000, to $233,797.41, from $223,132.91 in 2014, while the amount paid to the Bruce Telecom board went down by $10,000, to $48,599.58 from $58,857.23 in 2014.
 

The treasurer's statement of remuneration was approved as part of the consent agenda, March 16.

 

Mayor Anne Eadie received a total of $45,673.20, including $30,535.85 in salary, $3,240 in per diem, and $11,897.35 for expenses; plus $1,603.68 for serving on the Bruce Telecom board, including $1,500 in per diem, and $103.8 for expenses.
 

Deputy mayor Jacqueline Faubert was paid $24,177.23, including $22,131.55 in salary, $1,190 for per diem, and $855.68 for expenses; plus $74.87 in salary for serving on the police services board.

 

Councillor Gordon Campbell was paid $18,202.05, including $17,929.29 in salary, and $272.76 for expenses.
 

Councillor Maureen Couture received $21,821.80, including $17,929.29 in salary, $1,990 in per diem, and $1,902.51 for expenses; plus a total of $1,031.50 for serving on the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority, including $730 in per diem and $301.50 for expenses.
 

Councillor Laura Haight received $20,086.71, including $17,929.29 in salary, $1,740 in per diem, and $417.42 for expenses; plus $1,722.07 in salary for serving on the police services board.
 

Councillor Mike Leggett was paid a $27,497.41, including $22,011.29 in salary, and $5,486.12 for expenses (includes $4,082 in remuneration for serving as a firefighter).
 

Councillor Linda McKee received $26,567.97, including $17,929.29 in salary, $1,250 in per diem, and $7,388.68 for expenses.

 

Councillor Randy Roppel was paid $21,257.02, including $17,929.29 in salary, $800 in per diem, and $2,727.73 for expenses.
 

Councillor Andrew White received $28,514.02, including $17,929.29 in salary, $1,720 in per diem, and $8,864.73 for expenses; plus for serving on the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority, a total of $957.40, including $655 in per diem and $302.40 for expenses.
 

The following were paid for serving on the Bruce Telecom board:

 

  • Doug Hunter - a total of $10,000.12 in salary
  • Richard Martin - a total of $10,542.10, including $10,000.12 in salary, $250 in per diem, and $291.98 for expenses
  • Holly Robinson-Colley - a total of $13,033.42, including $12,000.04 in salary, $250 in per diem, and $783.38 for expenses
  • Barry Schmidt - a total of $2,878.16, including $2,557.72 in salary, and $320.44 for expenses
  • Tom Scott - a total of $10,542.10, including $10,000.12 in salary, $250 in per diem, and $291.98 for expenses


For serving on the police services board:

 

  • Robert Hiscox - $1,796.97 in salary
  • Ron Roppel - $1,497.50 in salary
  • Dorothy Stapleton - $299.50 in salary


For serving on the Westario Power board:

 

  • Randy Hughes - a total of $9,845.49, including $9,367.24 in salary, and $478.25 for expenses


The total amount of remuneration for 2015, was $299,622.29.
