Ripley girls win Walkerton basketball tournament

The Ripley Raven girls basketball team went undefeated at the elementary school tournament in Walkerton, Tuesday (March 22), bringing home the championship banner.

Ripley defeated Hanover JDSS, 26-14, in the first game, and beat Walkerton, 14-8, in the semi-final.

The girls advanced to the championship game, where they defeated Mildmay, 24-12, to win the tournament.

The Ripley girls are to be congratulated on their excellent play, teamwork and sportsmanship.
