Ripley Raven girls win South West Regional basketball tournament

The Ripley Ravens girls basketball team won the championship banner at the South West Regional basketball tournament held March 29 at Kincardine District Secondary School.
 

Ripley defeated Lucknow, 32-10, in the first game. The Ravens won their next game against Elgin Market ,51-4, and then met up with Huron Heights in the final game.

The Ravens’ defence, passing and accurate shooting proved to be too much for Huron Heights to handle as Ripley dominated play, winning the game, 39-12, and the championship.

 

Ripley moves on to the Bluewater finals later this month in Flesherton.
