The Kincardine Junior C Bulldogs hosted another successful beach volleyball tournament, April 29-30, at the Davidson Centre.

This was their 19th annual event, and it actually began with schools and community groups using the sand-covered courts on the arena floor during the day, beginning Tuesday, April 26, the day after the sand went in.

Wednesday night, the local recreational league tournament was held, with the Sirloins taking the championship and the T-Bone team taking the consolation title.

Thursday night, it was the business division, with the Volley Brawlers taking the Bragging Rights on the championship side, and Boston Pizza 2 taking the consolation.

In competitive action on the weekend, I'd Hit That captured the championship title, over That's What She Set. In the consolation round, the Super Squirrels outlasted Ibuprofen.

In Recreational A, Obsessed With Sets won the championship title, while Suck My Dig won the consolation side.

In Recreational B, it took the wee hours of Sunday morning for Bump, Set, Psych to be declared the winner, while Two Bump Chums took the consolation.

With a huge cast of teams in Recreation C, the championship title went to Who Gives a Hit, while the consolation side went to Tips and Aces.

More schools and groups used the beach volleyball courts Monday and Tuesday (May 2-3), before the sand was removed from the arena surface.
